If we really wanted to shed the stones we would not use the beginning of January as an excuse to start a fresh. We would do it right there and then. Many see that trying to be good over the festive season is a hard task and leave it until the start of the year to begin their efforts. A lot of those will take up gym memberships, go on a special diet or join a slimming group for some extra support. There are plenty of ways out there that have been designed to help us lose unwanted pounds and keep them off forever.
In the month of January we are surrounded by offers of cheap gym memberships, deals on weight loss classes, supermarkets cutting the cost of healthy foods and countless weight loss TV programmes being shown in order to inspire us to get fit and revitalised. It does work as a lot of us will get into the spirit of the occasion and vow to lose weight and start the 'new you' process, but others will shrug it off and carry on with their unhealthy lifestyles.
Unfortunately a lot of those who start off the year with good intentions end up failing miserably in their efforts to lose weight. By February junk food is back in full swing and the sofa beckons due to complete lack of motivation. Unfortunately, the pounds will not shift themselves. By this time most have forgotten about their resolution to get thin and have reverted back to a lazy and unhealthy lifestyle.
The key to losing that excess weight is to eat healthy and take part in an amount of exercise you find comfortable which in turn will result in a brand new you whether it is a New Year or not.
